OL2000: Getting Wrong Date When Using Increase/Decrease Buttons in Rules Wizard (232224)

SYMPTOMS

In the Arabic language version of Outlook, running on Microsoft Windows 95/98, if you use the increase/decrease buttons in the Rules Wizard to change the date in the "specific date span" rule, you may get the wrong date. The month and day may also change simultaneously as you use the increase/decrease buttons.

The problem will not occur when the system calendar is set to Hijri.

CAUSE

When your system calendar is set to the Gregorian calendar, the Rules Wizard Date field receives incorrect information about system's date format.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem:

Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
Double-click Regional Settings, and click the Date tab.
In the Short date style list, click to select MM/dd/yy.
