When you upgrade a Microsoft Windows 98-based computer with Microsoft Plus! 98 installed to Windows 98 Second Edition, the Plus! 98 startup screen is replaced with the default Windows 98 Second Edition startup screen.

To restore the Plus! 98 startup screen:
  1. Insert the Plus! 98 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
  2. Start Windows Explorer and click the CD-ROM drive containing the Plus! 98 CD-ROM.
  3. Open the Plus98 folder.
  4. Double-click the Plus98.cab file.
  5. Right-click the Logo.sys file, and then click Extract.
  6. When you are prompted for the folder in which to save the file, select the root folder of drive C, and then click OK.
  7. Restart your computer.
