AcerView 55 Monitor Detected as Standard Monitor (232032)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition, your AcerView 55 monitor may be detected as a Standard monitor, and some features and functions specific to the AcerView 55 monitor may not work.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use Device Manager to correctly install your AcerView 55 monitor. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
  2. On the Device Manager tab, double-click Monitors, and then double-click the standard monitor in the list.
  3. On the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then click Next.
  4. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, and then click Next.
  5. Click Show all hardware, click Acer, click AcerView 55, click Next, and then click Finish.
  6. Restart your computer.
