SYMPTOMS

After you install Internet Explorer, the Select sound event is not played when you click or point to select an item.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you configure Internet Explorer to use the single-click feature and you hover your input device pointer over files and folders.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, uninstall Internet Explorer 5 to use the Select sound event in Windows.
