SYMPTOMS

When you apply a wipe effect to text, the text is invisible in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.5 for Macintosh.

CAUSE

The element.style.clip property that the wipe effect uses does not function correctly after the page load event on Macintosh.

RESOLUTION

To display your text in Internet Explorer 4.5 for Macintosh, use one of the following methods:
  • Remove the Dynamic HTML effect from the text.

    -or-
  • Use another Dynamic HTML effect for the text.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
