WebTV Icon Missing After Upgrading Windows 98 to Windows 2000 (228205)

After you upgrade your Windows 98-based computer to Windows 2000, the Microsoft WebTV icon is no longer on the taskbar. Also, the WebTV component remains visible in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, but you can only remove this component.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because Windows 2000 Setup removes this icon. This occurs because Windows 2000 does not support or include the WebTV tool.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
