PPT2000: Wrong slide pastes onto Notes Page (226686)

SYMPTOMS

When you delete a slide image from one notes page, then try to paste a different slide image onto this page from another notes page, the deleted slide image is pasted instead.

CAUSE

When you paste the slide image onto the notes page, PowerPoint recognizes that the notes page is missing the slide image. Instead of pasting the picture of the slide you just copied, it "restores" the original slide image instead.

WORKAROUND

Instead of directly pasting the slide image onto the notes page, follow these steps:
  1. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
  2. From the Paste Special As: list, select either Picture or Picture (Enhanced metafile).
  3. Click OK.
The Picture or Picture (Enhanced metafile) formats do not contain any Office information. When you paste as one of these formats, the image you copied will be placed on the page.
