PPT2000: Cannot Insert Clip Into a PowerPoint Table Cell (226615)

You cannot insert a clip image into a PowerPoint 2000 table cell to make it a part of the cell's background. If you try this, the image appears above the table, rather than in the selected table cell.
WORKAROUNDUse a Picture Fill
To assign a picture to be the fill for a single table cell, follow these steps:
- Select the cell you want to add the picture fill to.
- On the Format menu, click Colors and Lines.
- Click on the Fill tab.
- On the Fill color list, click Fill Effects.
- On the Fill Effects dialog box, click the Picture tab.
- Click Select Picture, then browse until you find the picture you want to import.
- Click OK, then click OK again.
The image is now the background to the table cell.
