SYMPTOMS

When you establish a Dial-Up Networking connection using multiple modems to connect to a computer running Windows 2000 that is not configured for multilink connectivity, one modem may connect successfully. When this occurs, the Event Viewer tool does not report that the host is not configured for multilink services.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
