Works Suite 99 Error Message: There Is Not Enough Disk Space for Setup to Continue (225201)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install one of the programs included in Microsoft Works Suite 99, you may receive the following error message:
There is not enough disk space for Setup to continue.

To exit Setup click OK and then free up more disk space. Run Setup again.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you attempt to install one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article using the Works Suite 99 Setup launcher on a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based computer.

NOTE: This behavior does not occur with Microsoft Expedia Streets 98.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, manually run the Setup.exe file for each Works Suite 99 program you want to install. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the appropriate Works Suite 99 disc into the CD-ROM drive. To determine which disc to insert, please see the table at the end of this section. Press and hold down the SHIFT key when you insert the disc to prevent the Works Suite 99 Setup launcher from starting automatically.
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. In the Open box, type the Setup command line for the program you want to install, and then click OK. To determine the command line, please see the table at the end of this section.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation process.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for each program you want to install.

Use the following table to determine which Works Suite 99 CD-ROM to insert in the CD-ROM drive and to determine the Setup command line for the program you want to install.

NOTE: In the Setup Command Line column, cd-rom represents the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
