IIS 4.0 Log Field May Contain Invalid Constant Time Field (223137)

SYMPTOMS

Internet Information Server (IIS) extended log files may be incorrect and may contain an incorrect "constant" time field.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if the server runs for more than 49 days without being restarted.

RESOLUTION

Windows NT Server or Workstation 4.0

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server version 4.0 Service Pack 6.
