XL2000: Worksheet Saved as Web Page Displays Incorrect Font in Browser (221069)

SYMPTOMS

When you open a Web page in your browser that you created in Microsoft Excel, the fonts displayed in your Web browser do not match the fonts displayed in Excel.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you have formatted cells on your worksheet with a printer-only font. These fonts display a printer icon to the left of the font name in the Font list.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Web page in Excel.
  2. Select the cells that contain the text that does not display properly in your Web browser.
  3. On the Format menu, click Cells.
  4. On the Font tab, select a different font in the Font list, and then click OK.

    NOTE: Avoid selecting a font that displays a printer icon to the left of the font name.
  5. On the File menu, click Save.
