SYMPTOMS
When you use the Microsoft SideWinder FreeStyle Pro game controller to control movement in a game, you may notice a slow response time when you move diagonally in the game compared to the response time you see when you move forward, backward, or from side to side.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you have installed the Microsoft SideWinder FreeStyle Pro Update file.
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To resolve this issue, change the value data of the TiltDPadDebounceSkipNSEW value in the following registry key to 00 00 00 00:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\GCKERNEL\ : This registry key is not in your computer's registry unless you install the Microsoft SideWinder FreeStyle Pro Update file.
