SMS: CCIM Fails to Make a Connection to APM (219931)

SYMPTOMS

Client Configuration Installation Manager (CCIM) fails to make a connection to Available Programs Manager (APM) while trying to verify optional client components. Client components will be added to the registry, but the installation will fail because CCIM cannot create a connection to APM.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Systems Management Server 2.0. This problem was first corrected in Systems Management Server 2.0 Service Pack 1.
