FP2000: Internet Explorer Stops Responding When Playing Dynamic HTML Fly-In By Word Effects (219859)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000

This article was previously published under Q219859

SUMMARY

When you apply a "fly in by word" Dynamic HTML Effect to a large block of text, Microsoft Internet Explorer may appear to stop responding (hang).

NOTE: If you wait until the text is completely displayed, Internet Explorer continues to work properly.

MORE INFORMATION

FrontPage applies SPAN tags around every word when you use "by word" DHTML effects, which cause the entire block of text to fly in word-by-word. If you apply this effect to a lengthy block of text, the fly in effect could take several minutes to complete.
