SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Microsoft Encarta 98 after you uninstall Internet Explorer 5.0, you receive the following error message:
The dynamic link library WININET.DLL could not be found in the specified path.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, reinstall Encarta 98 or Internet Explorer 5.0.
