PUB2000: Process Mode Doesn't Mark Colors Correctly Using ICM (218711)

SYMPTOMS

If you change the way your publication prints in color from Composite RGB to Process Color(CMYK), you may notice the following behavior.

When you change fill colors in objects, colors that may not print well to your printer, will not be marked even though the same colors were marked in composite RGB mode.

WORKAROUND

Change back to Composite mode.

  1. On the Tools menu, point to Commercial Printing Tools
  2. Click Color Printing
  3. Click to select Composite RGB check box
All the colors will be marked that will not print correctly on your printer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
