PUB2000: Number of Copies Grayed Out and Unselectable When Printing (218663)

SYMPTOMS

When you print a publication from Microsoft Publisher 2000, the Number of copies: option may be unavailable in the Print window.

CAUSE

The publication is set up for Process Colors(CMYK) or Spot color(s). These layouts are designed for single copy printing only.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Print as Composite RGB

To print as composite RGB, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, point to Commercial Printing Tools, and click Color Printing.
  2. Click to select Composite RGB, then click OK.

Method 2: Set Printer to Print Multiple Copies

To set the printer to print multiple copies, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. Click Properties.
  3. Change the Copy Count to the desired number of prints.
NOTE: This option is a function of your printer driver, and is not available with all printers. If this option exists for your printer, it may be located in a different area depending on which driver you are using and what operating system you are running. If your print driver does not have this option, you must use the method described in Method 1.
