PUB 2000: Graphics Manager Is Not Updated When Propagated Graphic Is Changed (218658)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Publisher 2000

This article was previously published under Q218658

SYMPTOMS

When you change a propagated graphic in a publication generated by a Publisher wizard, the propagated graphic in your publication is not listed with the correct file name or file type in Graphics Manager.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Graphics Manager data is not properly updated with the path and file name of the graphic when a graphic is propagated in a wizard-generated publication.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

A propagated graphic is a graphic created by a Publisher wizard. For example, the globe and flower graphics in the Thank You Greeting Card wizard publication are propagated graphics. If you change one of the graphics in the greeting card, the matching graphic is automatically changed to match the other image.
