This article was previously published under Q218576

SYMPTOMS

When you create a hyperlink in a text frame to a Custom Show and select the Show and Return check box, any unbuilt animations in that text frame are built when the Custom Show ends and returns to the original slide.

This problem only happens when the hyperlink to the Custom Show is part of the text being built and not with any other type of hyperlink or hyperlinked objects.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, create the link to the Custom Show separate from the text being built.

Changing the Hyperlink

  1. Select the text or object you want to attach the hyperlink to.
  2. On the Slide Show menu, click Action Settings.
  3. Click the Mouse Click tab.
  4. Click Hyperlink to, and then select Custom Show.
  5. Select the Custom Show you want to branch off on.
  6. Click to select the Show and Return check box.
  7. To close the Link to Custom Show dialog box, click OK.
  8. to close the Action Settings dialog box, click OK .

STATUS
