PPT2000: Ending Linked or Embedded Slide Show Closes all Shows (218501)

SYMPTOMS

When you end a linked or embedded slide show using the End Show action setting on a slide object, the action will end both the linked or embedded slide show, as well as the slide show of the original presentation.

WORKAROUND

To workaround this problem, press ESC or to click End Show from the slide show menu.

To use the slide show menu to end an embedded show, follow these steps:
  1. While you are in slide show, click the slide show menu button, in the lower left corner of the screen, or right-click anywhere on the slide to show the menu.
  2. On the menu, click End Show
