OL2000: Links Command Is Missing from the Edit Menu (218235)

The Links menu command is missing from the Edit menu of an open item. In Outlook 97, this command was used to update an embedded object in a message.
RESOLUTION
To update the link, right-click the item, click Properties, and then click Update Now on the Link tab.

In Outlook 97, the Links menu command on the Edit menu allowed you to update an embedded object manually or automatically. You could also open the source file or change the source file.
In Outlook 2000, this functionality is found on the Link tab of the object's properties.
