Cannot Install SBS Programs from the Clients Share (217902)

When you attempt to connect to the Clients share and install a program in BackOffice Small Business Server (SBS) 4.5, the installation may be unsuccessful or an earlier version of the SBS client program may be installed.
In earlier versions of SBS, you can install program software from the \\server\clients share.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because of a design change in SBS 4.5. In earlier versions of SBS, the program software is contained in subfolders of the SystemDrive\SmallBusiness\Clients folder, which is shared as \\server\clients along with the folders and files needed to set up the client computers and create the Setup disks.
This design change separates the program software from the Setup files and programs. The location of the program software in SBS 4.5 is the SystemDrive\ClientApps folder with the share name of \\server\clientapps.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
