This article was previously published under Q217474 SYMPTOMS
When you receive and accept a meeting request, and then receive an updated meeting request, if you delete the updated meeting request from your Inbox, the meeting may be deleted from your calendar; you are not prompted to send a decline notice to the organizer.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the meeting request mail message is linked to the actual calendar item. When you delete the updated meeting request without opening the meeting request, Outlook removes the "deleted" calendar item.
STATUSThis behavior is by design.
