This article was previously published under Q216781 SUMMARY
The quality of service (QoS) Admission Control service (ACS) requires a service account. This account is not automatically created during the installation of ACS and must be created and configured manually.
MORE INFORMATION
To create and configure a Service account, create a service account named AcsService to be used as the service account for the Admission Control service (ACS). The AcsService account name must be used and the account must be a member of the local administrators group for the host.
To configure the ACS, set the ACS to start automatically with the AcsService account. To do so, start the Services snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC) and modify the properties of the Admission Control RSVP service. Specifically, on the Log On tab, click This Account, type AcsService in the Account box, and then type the appropriate password in the Password and Confirm Password boxes. Restart the service.
