XL2000: Error During Save Identifies Incorrect Cell for Function (215535)

When you save a workbook in an older file format you may receive the following error message, which incorrectly identifies the cell in which a function resides:
A formula in a cell (Name:defined name) could not be converted because it contains a function that is not available in the file format to which you are saving. If you continue the save, the formula and result will be saved, but the function itself will be converted to an error value.
Do you want to see additional errors as they occur so you can fix them later?
where defined name is the last defined name, alphabetically, in your workbook.
If you click Yes the error message reappears, but
defined name is replaced with a cell reference.
CAUSE
This error message occurs when all of the following conditions are true: - There are one or more defined names in the workbook.
-and-
- There are one or more functions in the workbook that cannot be saved in the older file format.
-and-
- You save your workbook in an earlier version file format, for example, as a Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
