MSPS: Sample Sounds in Help File Play the Windows Default Sound (215497)

When you play the sample sounds in the Microsoft Cordless Phone
System Help file, you may hear the Microsoft Windows default sound
for each action.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the correct path to the installation folder
of Microsoft Call Manager is not specified in the properties of the Call Manager shortcut icon.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, type the correct path to the installation folder
of Call Manager in the Microsoft Call Manager Properties dialog box. To
do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then point to Programs.
- Right-click Microsoft Call Manager, and then click
Properties.
- Click the Shortcut tab.
- In the Start In box, type the correct path to the
installation folder of Call Manager.
NOTE: The default installation folder of Call Manager is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Phone. - Click OK.
