SBS: Add User Wizard Does Not Support the Use of Special Characters in Username (215345)

When you try to use the Add User Wizard to add a user, the following error message is displayed:
The account name can contain only A-Z, a-z and 0-9.
Users expect the wizard should accept Double-Byte Character Set (DBCS) user account names.
Corporate standards may require the use of a hyphen as part of a user account name or e-mail.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when an invalid character is used for a user account name.
In SBS 4.0 and 4.0a, only A-Z, a-z, and 0-9 characters can be used as part of a user account name.
In SBS 4.5, only the following characters are restricted:
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, use the appropriate method:
- In SBS 4.0 or 4.0a, type a user name that consists of the valid characters referenced above (A-Z, a-z, 0-9).
- In SBS 4.5, type a user name that does not contain the following restricted characters:
