When you use Microsoft Visual Basic code to remove the background color property of the conditional formatting of a cell, you receive unexpected results when you try to re-apply the conditional formatting. Although the background color has been successfully removed, it still appears to be selected in the Format Cells dialog box.
WORKAROUND
Reset the formatting manually, and then select a new background color. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the Format menu, click Conditional Formatting.
- In the Conditional Formatting dialog box, click Format.
- In the Format Cells dialog box, click Clear, and then select a new background color. Click OK twice.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Excel 2000.
