XL2000: Error Message Appears When You Change Link Source (213902)

When you attempt to change the source of a link in Microsoft Excel 2000, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot link to the file.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you are trying to link to a file that has a name that is longer than 122 characters.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, shorten the file name to 122 characters or fewer.
