WD2000: WordBasic.MailMergeInsertFillin Fails to Prompt for Initial Default Value (212580)

In versions of Word earlier than Word 97, the WordBasic MailMergeInsertFillin command causes the FILLIN field to prompt the user for the initial default value after execution of the command.
CAUSE
This behavior has changed when you use this command with the Visual Basic
for Applications WordBasic object. The WordBasic.MailMergeInsertFillin command inserts the FILLIN field, but it does not automatically update the field to prompt the user for the initial default value.
WORKAROUND
To cause the FILLIN field to prompt the user for the initial default value, use the following Visual Basic for Applications command: Microsoft provides programming examples for illustration only, without warranty either
