XL2000: Shadows and 3-D Effects Do Not Print Across Page Breaks (211858)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q211858 SYMPTOMS
When you print or view a worksheet with the Print Preview feature in Microsoft Excel 2000, shadows and 3-D effects that are attached to drawing objects or AutoShapes in the worksheet may not be printed completely.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if a shadow or 3-D effect extends across a page break in the worksheet. In Excel 2000, shadows and 3-D effects are
printed on the same page with the drawing object or AutoShape to which they
are attached. These shadows and 3-D effects are printed only on the page or
pages that contain the object or AutoShape; they are printed up to the page
break for the page that contains the object or AutoShape.
If the drawing object extends across a page break, its shadow or 3-D effect
is printed correctly only on the pages occupied by the drawing object.
WORKAROUND
To ensure that shadows and 3-D effects attached to drawing objects and
AutoShapes are printed completely, make sure that they do not extend across page breaks.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
