This article was previously published under Q210766 SYMPTOMS
When you create a 3-D Pivot Chart in Microsoft Excel 2000, the x and z axis labels may appear to be reversed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the chart is three-dimensional. The x and z axis labels are positioned relative to the rotation setting of the chart.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, rotate the chart until the x and z axis labels are positioned where you want them.
To rotate the chart, follow these steps:
- On the Chart menu, click 3-D View.
- In the 3-D View dialog box, click the Rotation box.
- Enter number of degrees that you want to rotate the chart in the box, and then click OK.
NOTE: To view the degree of rotation, click Apply. To return to the original configuration, click the Default button in the 3-D View dialog box. The default rotation is 20 degrees.
REFERENCESFor more information about rotating 3-D charts, click Microsoft Excel Help on the Help menu, type change the rotation in a 3-d chart in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topic.
