BUG: Processing of a Cube May Fail with Error 210 (203407)

SYMPTOMS

Processing of a cube may fail with the following error message:
Error(210): The object structure is invalid (At least one level must be defined)

CAUSE

This error message appears if the cube has more than 128 levels but has fewer than 64 dimensions.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, limit the number of levels per cube to 128.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in SQL Server OLAP Services version 7.0.

MORE INFORMATION

As specified in the online documentation, a cube is limited to 63 dimensions and 128 levels by design.
