MORE INFORMATION
Outlook uses the Windows Installer to detect existing mail clients on the
First Run of Outlook.
During the First Run process, the installer checks for the presence of registry entries for any of the e-mail clients in the "Summary" section. If any of the e-mail clients exists, you are asked about conversion of mail messages or addresses.
