SUMMARY

Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 is not compatible with Microsoft Proxy Server 1.0. To use Proxy Server with IIS 4.0, you must upgrade from Proxy Server version 1.0 to Proxy Server 2.0.

If the server is currently running IIS 3.0 with Proxy Server 1.0 and you upgraded to Proxy Server 2.0 before installing IIS 4.0, you must reinstall Proxy Server 2.0. Proxy Server will not function correctly if you do not reinstall Proxy Server 2.0 after you install IIS 4.0.
