IP Address Is Not Listed in Web Settings (201443)

When you select Web Settings from the Tools menu in FrontPage, the IP
address of the Web Server is not listed.
CAUSE
Newer versions of FrontPage have not yet been configured to display this
information when Internet Explorer version 5.0 is installed on the same
computer as FrontPage 2000.
RESOLUTION
To find out the IP address of the Web that you are managing with
FrontPage, you can consult your Internet Service Provider or
Internet/Intranet Administrator.
You can alternatively use existing TCP/IP utilities such as Ping or
Tracert.
For example:
To find out the IP address for an Internet site, do the following from a
command prompt (when connected to the Internet):
Ping www.microsoft.com
To find out the IP address for an intranet site, do the following (when
connected to the network) from a DOS prompt:
Ping SERVERNAME where SERVERNAME is the name of the server
for the IP you are trying to locate.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions.
