Vertical Lines Appear on Screen During Windows 2000 Setup (197628)

During Windows 2000 Setup, a blank screen with vertical lines may appear.
After Setup restarts your computer, your screen may appear to be normal
for a period of time, then the vertical lines may reappear during the
graphical user interface (GUI) portion of Setup.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you are using a video adapter with the Trident
9660 chip set. Windows 2000 does not provide support for the Trident 9660
chip set.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, use a supported video adapter.
MORE INFORMATION
Trident Microsystems no longer supports the Trident 9660 chip set. For
this reason, Windows 2000 does not include a driver for this chip set. For
