Microsoft Outlook will not display all of a Notes record in icon view.

Viewing a Notes record in icon view may appear to display all of the text.
In the icon view of the Notes folder, Outlook displays a maximum of 255
characters. A Notes record can contain a maximum of 29,919 characters. To
display more than 255 characters, open the record by double-clicking the
icon.
