SYMPTOMS

When you create a new document using any Works module, the file may already contain information.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Works module you are using has a default template set for that document type.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, clear the default template setting. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new document using the Works module that exhibits this symptom.
  2. On the File menu, click Save As.
  3. Click Template, and then click Defaults.
  4. Under Default Templates, click Clear.
  5. Click Cancel to close the Save As Template dialog box.
