PI2.0: Spot Tech ScanTak-2c Scanner Hangs During Scan (195466)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to scan an image by using Picture It! and a Spot Technologies ScanTak-2c scanner, Picture It! may stop responding (hang) or fail.

This behavior has been observed with Spot Scantastic scanner driver version 1.1. This driver is listed in the Picture It! scanner list as "Easy TWAIN module." The scanner data source file is Spotacq.ds dated 12/13/96.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, upgrade the scanner driver to version 1.16 dated 12/13/97 or later. To do so, visit the following Spot Technologies Web site:
