PI99: ErrMsg: Illegal Operation Creating Custom Stamp (194863)

SYMPTOMS

If you click on the Picture Pane During the process of creating a Custom Stamp in Picture It! 99, you will receive the following message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
After which, the program quits.

CAUSE

The steps for creating a Custom Stamp were not completed.

RESOLUTION

This can be resolved by completing the steps for creating a custom cutout. To complete the process, follow these steps:
  1. In the Workbench tab, click Get Picture, and click My Picture. Navigate your hard disk to find a file to open.
  2. In the Workbench tab, click Paint & Color Effects, and click Stamping.
  3. In Step One, select a stamping style of your choice.
  4. In Step Two, click to select Make My Own Stamp.
  5. In the Custom Stamp task menu select an image source of your choice.

    NOTE: For demonstration purposes we will use the image on the Filmstrip.
  6. Double click the image on the Filmstrip.
  7. In the Stamping task menu, for Step Three select a stamp size of your choice.
  8. In Step Four you can now apply the stamp by one of the following methods:

    1. Hold the right mouse button down and dragg the stamp on the image.
    2. Single click the right mouse button on the image area you wish to stamp.
  9. When you are finished stamping, click Done in the bottom of the Task Menu.
