When you configure an SNA print server to use a Printer Definition File
(PDF) to perform character mapping operations, the operation will fail if
the length of the fully expanded macro used exceeds 127 characters.
CAUSE
A problem with SNA print server resulted in the maximum length of PDF
macros being limited to 127 characters.
RESOLUTIONSNA Server 3.0To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SNA Server version 3.0. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the

This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 4.0 U.S.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server versions 3.0,
3.0 SP1, 3.0 SP2, 3.0 SP 3, 4.0, and 4.0 SP1.
