XL98: Cannot Select Desktop as Folder to Search for Laroux Virus (193667)

When you click Select in the Excel Virus Search Add-In dialog box, you
cannot select the Desktop as the folder in which to search for the Laroux
macro virus.
WORKAROUND
If you want to scan only the Microsoft Excel files on your Desktop for the
Laroux macro virus, type the path to the Desktop Folder in the "Enter the
path of the folder to search" box. For example, if your hard disk is named
"Macintosh HD", you would type the following:
Macintosh HD:Desktop Folder
When you click OK, only the Excel files on your desktop are scanned for the
Laroux macro virus.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98
Macintosh Edition.
