SUMMARY

The programs listed at the beginning of this article require Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 to run.

The Internet Explorer 4.01 files that are required by Greetings 99 and Home Publishing 99 are included in the Pss\Sysdll folder on the installation CD-ROM for the program. If any of the Internet Explorer files are missing or damaged, you can reinstall them from the installation CD-ROM for the program without reinstalling Internet Explorer.

Greetings 99 and Home Publishing 99 use the following Internet Explorer files:

  • Asycfilt.dll
  • Msvcrt20.dll
  • Msvcrt40.dll
  • Oleaut32.dll
  • Olepro32.dll
  • Stdole2.tlb
NOTE: This is not a complete list of the files that Greetings 99 and Home Publishing 99 require in order to run. If you continue to experience problems after you replace these files, you may need to reinstall Internet Explorer 4.01.

To reinstall the Internet Explorer files needed by Greetings 99 and Home Publishing 99, follow these steps:

  1. Quit all running programs.
  2. Insert the Greetings 99 CD-ROM or the Home Publishing 99 Disk 1 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key when you insert the CD-ROM to prevent the program from starting automatically.
  3. On the desktop, double-click My Computer.
  4. Right-click the CD-ROM drive that contains the CD-ROM for the program, and then click Explore.
  5. Double-click the Pss folder.
  6. Double click the Sysdll folder.
  7. Press and hold down the CTRL key as you click each of the files listed earlier in this article.
  8. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  9. Click Start, and then click Run.
  10. In the Open box, type the following line, and then click OK

    drive:\Windows\System

    where drive is the letter of the hard disk on which Microsoft Windows is installed.
  11. On the Edit menu, click Paste. If you are prompted to replace existing files, click Yes To All.

    NOTE: If you receive a message saying that one of the files is in use, quit Windows, and then copy the files to the Windows\System folder from a command prompt.
