Import Module Reports Automation Error -2,147,483,648 (192721)

When the Import History Manager has 512 entries, all subsequent imports
fail with Automation Error -2,147,483,648.
In the <Site Server>\Data\Analysis\Message folder, the Uimport.log
file
has an entry similar to the following:
UImport 7/29/98 10:45:31 PM
sa@user/ssa
Error: UImport process aborted
Error starting Import
Error -2147417851 Automation error
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when an unexpected end of list is encountered
while traversing a list.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service
pack.STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. This problem has been corrected in the
latest U.S. service pack for Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the
following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces): MORE INFORMATION
In the fix, an additional check was added to determine the end of the
list.
