DSS80: Audio Compact Discs Do Not Play Properly (192612)

When you connect the Digital Sound System 80 hardware to your computer,
audio compact discs may no longer play properly. Playback may be choppy
or you may hear clicks or pops during playback.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if your CD-ROM drive does not support digital
audio playback.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, disable digital audio playback. To do this, follow
these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Multimedia.
- Click the CD Music tab.
- Click to clear the "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device"
check box.
- Click OK, and then close Control Panel.
- Use an analog cable to connect the Digital Sound System 80 hardware to
your computer.
