Cannot Select "(None)" for Screen Saver (192264)

When you click (None) in the Screen Saver box in Display properties, a
screen saver may be displayed in the preview box.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if there is a screen saver (.scr) file whose name
begins with one of the following characters:
% # & $ ! (
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the following steps:
- Click Start, point to Find, and click Files Or Folders.
- In the Named box, type "*.scr" (without quotation marks).
- In the Look In box, click the drive on which Windows is installed, and
then click Find Now.
- In the list of found files, locate any .scr file whose name begins with
any of the characters listed earlier in this article. Right-click the
file, click Rename, press the RIGHT ARROW key, press the HOME key,
press the DELETE key, and then press ENTER.
- Repeat step 4 for any other .scr files whose name begins with any of
the characters listed earlier in this article.
