DSS80: Cannot Hear Audio Playback When Yamaha Station Starts (192006)

When you insert a compact disc, you may be unable to hear audio playback
through your computer's Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if Yamaha Station starts when you insert a compact
disc.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, configure Windows CD Player or Deluxe CD Player
to start automatically when you insert a compact disc.
NOTE: To do this, you may need your Microsoft Windows 98 CD-ROM, your
Microsoft Plus! 98 CD-ROM, or the installation CD-ROM provided by your
computer manufacturer.
To configure Windows CD Player to start automatically when you insert
a compact disc, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click the Windows Setup tab.
- In the Components box, click Multimedia, and then click Details.
- Click to clear the CD Player check box.
- Click OK, and then click Apply.
- Click Multimedia, and then click Details.
- Click to select the CD Player check box.
- Click OK, and then click OK again.
- Close Control Panel.
To configure Deluxe CD Player to start automatically when you insert
a compact disc, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Plus! 98, and then
click Add/Remove.
- Click Add/Remove, and then click Next.
- Click to clear the Deluxe CD Player check box.
- Click Next, and then click Next again.
- Click Finish, and then click OK.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Plus! 98, and then
click Add/Remove.
- Click Add/Remove, and then click Next.
- Click to select the Deluxe CD Player check box.
- Click Next, and then click Next again.
- Click Finish, and then click OK.
- Close Control Panel.
