SUMMARY

This article describes how to manually configure Money 99 to connect directly to the sign in page for your financial institution's Web site and use Web Financial Services to download your account information.

MORE INFORMATION

Some financial institutions allow you to download financial data from their Web site for free or for a lower fee than the fee for their Direct Statement service. If your financial institution does this, you may want to use Web Financial Services instead of Direct Financial Services in Money 99.

For information about the differences between Direct Financial Services and Web Financial Services, please refer to the "Find out the difference between Web and Direct Financial Services" topic in the Money 99 online Help file.

To configure Money 99 to connect directly to the sign in page for your financial institution's Web site, add a Web link on the Connect tab in Online Financial Services. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Money Navigation bar, click Online.
  2. Double-click the financial institution you want to use.
  3. On the Contact Information tab, click Web Settings.
  4. In the Web Statements Logon Page box, type the complete Web address for your financial institution's sign in page, and then click OK.
  5. On the Connect tab, click either Get Statements or Go To Web Site to link to your financial institution's sign in page.
Your financial institution may provide downloadable financial information in one of the following three formats:

  • Open Financial Exchange (OFX)
  • Open Financial Connectivity (OFC)
  • Quicken Interchange Format (QIF)
Money 99 can directly import transactions in the OFC and OFX formats, and match them to transactions in your account register. If your financial institution uses one of these file formats, you may see a Microsoft Money Active Statement button on their Web site.

For information about how to use QIF financial data statements in Money 99, please refer to the "Find out the issues related to QIF import files" topic in the Money 99 online Help file.
